Dr. James Hines graduated Cum Laude from Harvard University and received his Medical Doctorate with honors as an Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) member from Northwestern University in Chicago. He completed an internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Duke University Medical Center and also completed a Fellowship in Cardiology at Duke. Dr. Hines also earned his Master's of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Phoenix.
Dr. Hines is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology. He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology (FACC) and in 2017 was recognized for the 20th time as a Phoenix Magazine TOP DOC. As of 2017 Dr. Hines was only one of 7 physicians in Maricopa County to have been a TOP DOC twenty times.
With a wealth of experience in outpatient and inpatient cardiac care and special expertise in echocardiography, pacemakers, nutrition and exercise, Dr Hines is dedicated to addressing all his patients' cardiovascular issues. He strives to help his patients maintain optimum cardiac health not only through state of the art testing and treatments but also via clear and effective communication.
